Philips wake up the town

Philips have launched an interesting campaign ‘Wake up the town’ which focuses on the Arctic town of Longyearbyen. Documentary filmmaker  Doug Pray, is spending the winter in Longyearbyen for an experiment with the Philips Wake-Up light. The campaign is online at wakeup.philips.com, YouTube and Facebook.

La Mutuelle Generalle

Over 300 dancers descended in front of Notre Dame in Paris for a flash mob as part of an advertisement for La Mutuelle Generale . We love the expressions on the faces of the tourists and passers-by who are among the dancers

David Phoenix vs Skittles fans

We have commented on the Skittles mob a couple of times in previous posts so we have been keeping an eye on the campaign with interest. The mob is back and this time for a live Facebook event called ‘Dazzle the rainbow’ where the entire skittles mob was challenged by a character called David Phoenix to try to submerge him by way of skittles. Every person who logs onto the Facebook application adds hundreds more Skittles into the next drop which takes place every 15 minutes.

Bounty and Rev Run

Bounty have launched a new viral featuring Hip hop legend Run DMC frontman, Rev Run. The viral has received 358,000 number of views on YouTube since it was posted 3 weeks ago. The viral opens with ‘Principal Simmons’ (Rev Run) visiting a classroom of bored students to inform them that substitute teachers will replace Mr Lee for the day. The Paper Towel Gang then arrive to the school in a drop-top, brazenly parking in the principal’s reserved spot and launch into a verbal ode to Bounty’s absorbency skills. This is definitely an interesting approach to a normally unexciting domestic product!

180 Amsterdam have created ‘The Goal Counter’ for Adidas to celebrate the success of the F50 Adizero as the top scoring boot at the 2010 Fifa World Cup. The launch of the F50 Adizero boot was supported by a 50 Days of Fast Facebook push, featuring Messi and other footballers including Kaka, De Rossi, Simao, Ballack and Gourcuff giving their opinions on how football has become a faster game over the years.
